Question

So I have been trying to remember the great question that Taylor asked me the other day...I remember thinking at the time that I needed to write that one down in the baby book. Anyhoo, I have been racking my brain and today it finally came to me......She asked me last week (out of the blue) "Are we made of Legos?" I told her no and she replied "Then what did God use when he made us?"

KREW end of the year Skating Party

Sydney and Taylor had a great time at their KREW skating party on Sunday night!

Spring Soccer Tournament

Sydney had a soccer tournament in Greenville this weekend. Her team is the Lakeland's Toros Blazers. They won 1 game and lost 2. Friday night and Saturday morning consisted on Monsoon weather so you can imagine what the fields were like.....every kid's fantasy....MUD!! Sydney took a spill early on in the first game and the muddy uniform to prove it. I saw some little boys who looked like they literally rolled and rolled and rolled in the mud. I don't know how their parents got them home! We are so proud of Sydney. She played hard all weekend, and logged 2 more goals on her season tally. Gran came along on Saturday and Grandmom and Pappy made it out for the Sunday game. Taylor played with her buddy Ariel both days (both of her older sisters play on Syd's team)

Let's try this again.....

Okay, so its only been 7 months since the last post......

I will have to make more of an effort to keep things up to date. I love checking out Michael's Days to see what is new and Florida, so I guess it is only fair to keep folks updated on things here in South Carolina.

Our latest news is a move to a new house. We have officially unpacked the last box, and now have only a garage full of "attic stuff" (which by the way is the garage at the old house......) The girls are enjoying the new house. I would have to say that their favorite thing is the next door neighbor's dog, Snowball. She spends several hours a day in our yard, and the girls love playing with her. We call Taylor the Dog Whisperer, because of her innate ability to summon Snowball into our yard with a quiet golf clap. I have to say that she is very bossy and Snowball will only tolerate so many commands before she heads back home. We took walk back into the woods behind the house today and found plenty of potential tree house spots.

Happy Birthday Taylor!!!

Taylor had a great 5th birthday complete with special visitors, Aunt Leslie and cousin Michael. We celebrated Scooby Doo style with a Mystery Machine cake, Scooby Snacks, and a pin-the-tail-on-Scooby game (compliments of Aunt Leslie).

Heavenly Image

We spent Sydney's actual birthday at a pool party at a friends

house. We noticed the clouds, with the sun shining through

and couldn't resist the picture.

Discovery Island Fun for Sydney's Birthday

Gran and I took Sydney and Taylor to a water park in

Greenville, called Discovery Island. They had a lazy river,

splash zone complete with water falls, and water guns,

and two slides. Sydney convinced Gran to take a trip down the

slide on a double tube, and got me to take a ride down the yellow

twisty slide with no tube at all! Taylor took a couple of laps on the
Lazy River with Gran. She was not a big fan of the Splash Zone. (Doesn't
Like to get squirt in the face). After the water park, we browsed the goods
at Target. Sydney picked out a new bookbag, and then selected Moes '
Southwestern Cafe for lunch. Great Choice Syd!!!! We ended up spending
the week celebrating Syds birthday, and have decided that it is the best
way to do it. SO from now on, we can all have birthweeks!!!!! More days--
MORE CAKE!

I found the cutest matching Dr. Seuss-esk
P.J.s for the girls

Sydney and Taylor loved cooling off in the pool.
The heat index for the week averaged 110 degrees,
so it was not surprising to find that the ocean
was WARM> The pool had a chiller on, so the pool
water kept your goose bumps busy!!!!

MICHAEL'S FIRST TRIP TO LAKE
GREENWOOD WITH COUSIN SYDNEY

HE REALLY WANTED TO RIDE THE

NEXT SUMMER FOR WAKE BOARDING.

Field Day at Mathews Elementary

Sydney and Samantha had a great time at field day. They did great at the three legged race! Taylor had fun watching and even got to walk in the fourth grader line.

He looks Marvelous!!!!!

The annual haircut has occurred an Mommy and Sydney are thrilled!!!!!!

Special Day for Sydney

Sydney completed the fourth grade with flying colors. We went to Daddy's softball game that night and then celebrated her accomplishment with pizza for dinner. She got to eat off of the Case family special plate, which was created just for us by Aunt Leslie. Anytime we have a special event in the family, or a great accomplishment, that person gets to eat off of the special plate. I thought it was cute that Sydney put a special touch on the special plate by giving the cat large pizza ears!!!!!! Congrats to Sydney. I can't believe that she is going to be a fifth grader.

Baby Jaws. Steve and Sydney caught several baby
sharks from the pier that was about 200 yards from
where we were swimming. I convinced myself that
mother sharks stay 3 miles away from their babies at
ALL TIMES>

These little sharks were all about the squid bate. Sydney
convinced me to touch one and it felt like smooth rubber.
Kind of like a wet suit. They were nothing but muscle. YIKES

Sydney held some of the sharks (as long as they weren't bleeding.)
She loved being at the pier with Steve.

On a less frightening note, Sydney found a lone
boogie board and made it her own for Sunday. She
and Taylor had a great time playing with it. It was
the typical big sibling, little sibling scandal. You
pull me on the boogie board first and then I will
pull you. (notice there are no pics of Taylor on the
boogie board)

Gran the trooper. Gran bravely agreed to sleep with Taylor.
I couldn't resist this shot on Mother's day morning. Taylor's
pink toes are rammed into the back of Gran's neck. Happy
Mother's day!!!!!! You never stop being a Mom.

Isle of Palms

Saturday-----Fun in the sun!

Sydney's new tropical suit!

Please disregard the belly!

Saturday night we ate at Sullivan's after a failed attempt to navigate our way across the Ben Sawyer Bridge in order to eat at Vickerys'. This was especially frustating because we made two separate phone calls for directions prior to leaving the condo. Oh well, no business for Vickerys'! I thought it was funny to learn that our waitress at Sullivans was from Greenwood and still has family here. They are the owners of the daycare that Sydney used to attend. You know what they say about Greenwood... all roads lead to it.

Gran and Taylor at the fishing pier watching Daddy and Sydney attempt to catch crabs. (no such luck)
